Benitses is located 12 kilometers from the Old Town of Corfu. It is a quiet village away from the bustle where guests are first greeted by fresh salty air, a warm smile, and the radiance of the Grecian sun. Wildflowers blossom from cracks in aged pavement. Benitses: Beach
Benitses has several small east-facing beaches of fine gravelly pebble. The water is usually calm and crystal clear.
Some parts of the seabed have a sandy bottom. The northern half of town has a road running alongside the narrow beach and a few sections with sun-loungers. The southern half of the beach is wider with some trees providing shade. There are several derelict buildings but it’s a pleasant area for swimming and relaxing.
Not so far from the main town of Corfu, Benitses is a small well organized village.
Benitses is mostly developed along the coast road and it offers facilities, tranquillity and privacy at the same time. In all Kerkyra island this village is one of the few that still keep their traditional Greek style. You will see old buildings hidden in the nature and fishermen working with their nets in the small port. Here in Benitses there are also the ruins of an ancient villa and the Roman Baths.
